This project was about grasping the essence of a folklore costume. I chose a Canadian female Inuit costume. That was rich in graphical shape and lines.
I explored the area and broke it down to fragments which I then translate into five material samples. I chose to work with a certain shape, in order to give the simple patterns a context. That could later on be experimented on the body. It also relates back to the shapes of the Inuit costumes.
